Union Care Solutions offers a collaborative effort within the industry to support the workplace with an integrated and holistic approach. By embracing the structure and fidelity of our community, we strive to equip, empower and connect through service and education.

The Union Electrical Industry is fast paced , diverse and demanding. Given the physical nature of the many classifications it is no surprise that workers safety is a priority. Unions bargain safety into contracts, companies host safety standdowns, and committees are formed all with the singular purpose to keep the workforce and job site safe. With physical safety being paramount, mental health can often be overlooked, and dismissed. However the need for mental health programs in this field is vital. Construction workers face numerous challenges that can take a toll on their mental well-being, such as long hours, physical strain, job insecurity, and high-pressure deadlines.

With the "Circuit of care" approach, multiple key components are integrated to form a comprehensive mental health program. These components, when combined, establish a strong and interconnected network of resources within the industry, enhancing the quality and effectiveness of mental health services.

These programs can offer resources for stress management, coping mechanisms, and access to mental health professionals. By fostering a culture that prioritizes mental health, construction companies can improve employee morale, reduce absenteeism and turnover rates, and ultimately create a safer and more productive work environment.

Investing in mental health programs is not only beneficial for the well-being of the workers but also for the overall success of construction projects. Addressing mental health issues can lead to a more resilient and motivated workforce, resulting in improved job performance and satisfaction across the industry. It is the mission of Union Care Solutions to assist the industry in developing these programs from within, to ensure it meets the specific needs of the Union, contractors and workforce.
